The chart shows the number of viewers per day of Channel One news in 2015
The line graph compares the quantity of viewers per day between January and December of Channel One news in the year 2015. Overall, the data displayed different patterns, including a reduction of the 6pm and 9pm news' number of viewers, a growth of the 11pm and a stability of the 1pm over the period.
In January, the 6pm news was the highest of the figure for viewers, followed by the 9:30pm and 1pm news. From January to August, there was an 11pm news that was introduced on 1st May then it reached a peak of four million viewers in August, considerably surpassing the 1pm news', the 6pm news' and the 9:30pm news' number of viewers in the same period. In contrast, the 6pm and 9:30pm news witnessed a significant decline from around five and three million viewers to under four and two million viewers respectively, while the 1pm news was unchanged.
Between August and December, the number of viewers of the 11pm news experienced a huge drop to under one million viewers in December. On the other hand, the 9:30pm news rose remarkably to three million viewers. Meanwhile, the 6pm news went up to four million viewers in September, then reduce slightly to around three million viewers. The 1pm news was level off over the time period.
