The chart shows the percentage of male and female teachers in six different types of educational setting in the UK in 2010
The bar chart provides information about how many proportions took both genders in six various educational systems of the UK in 2010.
In general, the percentages of women teaching younger children were significantly higher in three types , while men teachers' degree were equal or greater in the other three system.
Looking at the details, it can be seen that the percentage of female teachers was the highest in Pre-school, at around 97 per cent. In both Nursery and Primary systems, male teachers were nowhere near as many as female ones. Male teachers of Secondary school were slight less than that female ones, at around 43 percent and about 46 percent respectively.
Looking more closely at the chart, we can see that the figures for men and women who worked as a teacher at a college were the same, experienced about 45 per cent. In University education, there were the highest number of male teachers, showing over 60. Female teachers were less than that male ones by around four percent at Private training institutes
