Essay topics:

The chart shows the percentage of male and female teachers in six different types of educational setting in the UK in 2010.

The bar chart gives information about the proportion made up by man and woman teachers, compared in six levels of the UK education system from nursery/pre-school to university in the year 2010.
Overview, it is clear that the higher level of education types, the more tendency to grow in male teachers' number. In addition, the biggest difference between two genders in teaching area is in the first type while the smallest one is in the college (=0%).
In three of six types, female teachers outnumbered male teachers. In nursery/pre-school, the number of female teachers was up to 96%, more than 24 times as high as male teachers (4%). Similarly, in primary school, female teachers occupied nearly 92% at all while male teachers just had 8% in the proportion, making up a big difference of 84%. In the next level, the difference became less than before, just around 10%, with nearly 54% of female teachers, and nearly 50% of males.
On the other hand, female teachers were less than or equal to male teachers in 3 left types, college, private training institute and university respectively. In college, there was a balance in the quantity of two genders in teaching, both at 50%. However, it soon continued to have an inequality in private training institute (men at around 54%, women at nearly 50%) and university (men increased to 70% and women declined to 30%).
