The pie chart illustrates the proportion of each reason of an African country's teens for using their phones in a 4-year period from 2016 to 2019.

Overall, roughly half of the teenagers from the survey used their mobile phones with the aim of using social networks whereas only a small rate among them used phones to make phone calls.

In the first year of 2016, 50% of the African country' youngsters claimed they using their phones for social media. Even though this number went down about 2% in the next year, it continues to rise slightly in 2018 and 2019. The second most popular aim of using cell phones among teenagers in this African country is emailing. However, its proportion decreased year by year until 2019, its rate became the third most common use in digital phones. Digital camera reason was gradually increasing from 15% to 20% in a 4-year period. The last use was to make phone calls and its proportion is also ranked the least in demand of using cell phones. There was a small increase in this rate between 2016 and 2017; nevertheless, it went down in the next 2 years respectively 11% and 5%.
