The given column, line and pie charts illustrate the student strength of a specific university of Europe, the yearly expenditure done by the government on each student and the proportion of students as per their family's financial status. A cursory glance at the graph is enough to make it clear that the number of students increased, whereas the government funding on them decreased From the column graph it is clear that 150,000 students studied at the university in 1984. This number increased with fluctuations and reached 400,000 by 2008. The line graph depicts that the government spent the maximum ($14,000) per student annually in 1984. This spending decreased gradually and reached $ 10,000/student by 2004. After that this funding increased and became 12,000 dollars by 2008. From the pie chart it is manifest that slightly more tha quarter came from low income families and slightly more than a fifth came from middle income families. half the students came from high income families.
