Overall, it can be seen that sodium and saturated far are mostly used in dinner and lunch, whereas, added sugar only contains a large amount in breakfast.

The first significant feature is that the American likely to eat sodium and saturated fat in dinner, 43% and 31%, respectively; while these two unhealthy nutrients are consumed less at snack times. However, added sugar witnesses an opposite trend with nearly a half amount dominated for snacks.

Another noticeable feature is that breakfast and lunch are the time people add three types of nutrients the least, which account for under a third. The most favorable source of nourishment in these meals is sodium, makes up for 29%.
