The refrigerator was the main electrical appliance used most, with vacuum cleaner seeing a stable rise. The second chart indicates that there is a decrease in the period in the number of hours that people did housework per week.
In the first chart, all machines rose from 1920 to 2019. The main appliance used in most households is a refrigerator. In 1920, no family consumed it, then the number had a rise to 100 percent in 1980. This number did not change after 1980. With it, vacuum cleaner also had a consistent increase to 100 percentage in 2000, when in 1920, just 30 percent of families used it. people consumed washing machine increased slowly to 70 percent in 1960, then decreased over 60 percent, then it increased slowly again, so it actually increased by more than 30 percent from 1920 to 2019.
According to the second chart, the number of hours of housework per week per household had a steady fall from 1920 to 1960, then it decreased slower. it dropped by 40 hours total.
