Overall, the cost of home cooking decreased annually but people tend to eat out of home over the time period. Even though the number of fast food and sit down places were similar at the beginning of the period, the former extremely increased, while the latter rose steadily.
The amount of money used in restaurants was only one tenth in 1970, whereas rest of the budget was spent on home cooked meal. However, in 2000, expenditure of restaurants grew by 40% and home cooking fell to 50%.
Regarding the line graph, the number of junk foods firstly increased gradually from 20 to about 30 in 1980 and then sharply raised in 1990 before it peaked at almost 90 at the end of period. Likewise, the quantity of sit-down meals frequently experienced an up-ward trend, beginning with 20 and ending up with approximately 50.
