Overall, it can be evident that agrarian use topped most of the charts, whereas the second place varied between industrial and domestic use depending on the area. Units are measured in percentage.
Agriculture is the sector to which the greatest volume of water is allocated in the majority of regions, with Central Asia directing nearly 90% of its water into it. The only 2 areas not considering the previous field as their main priority are North America and Europe, both of which gave preference to industrial use instead.
Apart from 2 afore-mentioned regions, the proportion of water usage for the industries is remarkably modest in the remaining areas, ranging from merely 5% to 12%, which renders it the category with the least amount of water allotted to. Domestic use followed the roughly same pattern, with the highest number reported at 19% in South America.
