Overall, water mainly used for industrial, agricultural and domestic purpose. North America and Europe used lion share of water for industrial purpose and remains four areas used highest percentages of water for agricultural use.
Africa, central Asia and south East Asia used above 80% of their water for agricultural purpose while Africa use 84%, central Asia used highest 88% and south East Asia use 81%. South America used near three quarter for agricultural purpose. Among these four areas South American people used highest 19% of water for domestic use and vary few percent used for industrial use.
On the other hand, North America used near a half of total amount of water for industrial purpose and only 39% water for agricultural use. However, Europe used highest percentage of water for industrial use among all the area of the world and a third water used for agriculture. Europe and North America used 15% and 13% respectably for domestic purpose.
