Overall, the percentage of employed students after leaving schools increased substaintially whilst there was a plunge in the proportion of those choosing to continue their education over the 20-year period.
In 1980, the number of school leavers being employed counted for 40% before soaring by 10% in 1990. Afterwards, there was a slight acceleration from 50% to 55% of those hired after graduating from schools, which made this group overwhelmed the others.
Meanwhile, the group choosing to study further was the dominance with 50% in 1980. However, after 10 years, the percentage of this group sank down by 12% to 38%, and eventually mildly decreased to 37% in the next decade. Concurrently, although the proportion of unemployed group fluctuated around 10%, this group remained the minority one over the period.
