The given bar diagram illustrates the amount of pineapple exported by three countries who dominated the market. This study was conducted for a decade from 2009 to 2019. The pie chart, on the other hand, exhibits the underline percentages of cost to the consumer for every pineapple in 2019.
In case of export, country B dominated over rest of the countries which was accounted for over four metric tonnes in 2009. The other two countries amount was below two metric tonnes. In 2019, there was a dramatic change in export pattern. Country A became the major exporter, and the amount crossed ten metric tonnes. Country C exported the least amount throughout the period.
To breakdown the cost, distribution and retail accounted for the highest percentage, which was around 35%. Profit and taxes were other two major concerning areas of cost, while cost for obtaining licences and transportation remained almost similar. The growers were paid a lower amount of 5%, and the export cost was the least.
Overall, there were noticeable variations among the countries in exporting pineapple throughout the study period. The cost distribution also had significant differences.
