The climograph illustrates statistics of rainfall as well as temperature in the city of Kolkata in a single calendar year from Jan to Dec.
The most striking feature of this graph shows the maximum amount of rainfall was happened in the month of Jul and Aug, whereas the temperature remains constant below 30 deg. The highest rainfall recorded as 325mm in the month of Jul.
However, from Jan to May there was a gradual raising, where it was started from 20mm and reached 100mm in the month of May. In the month of Jul steep gain was registered in two consecutive months to reach a zenith with 325mm mark. After, Jul started falling the rainfall first, by 5mm then by 20 mm, in the month of Sep. it was around 300 mm.
From Sep to Nov, twice dipped with 150 mm and 125 mm respectively, recorded the lowest rainfall of 20mm in the month of Dec.
The Temperature was fluctuating throughout this year from Jan to May it was increasing, from 20 deg to almost 30 deg but then after started falling slowly till Dec where it was 20 deg.
Overall, Maximum rainfall in pick season which starts from Jun first week till Oct last.
