The climograph provides information about the average monthly temperatures and rainfall during twelve months in the city of Kolkata.
Overall, it is clear from the graph that, both temperature and precipitation saw a similar trend. However, while the precipitation increased drastically during the rainy months, the temperature was low during it and saw a rise during the months of winter.
With regards to the temperature, January was the coldest month being at a temperature of 20 degrees centigrade, whereas at the beginning of the period the temperatures were low, gradually increasing and recording around 32 degrees centigrade in May. After which it declined progressively reaching to about 21-degree centigrade in the last month December.
As for the rainfall, it experienced a similar trend to that of temperature, drastically rising and hitting the high point of approximately 340 during the month of July followed by a drop. Subsequently, reaching its lowest of 10 mm of precipitation in the month of December.
