The combined graph illustrates monthly changes in the precipitation and temperature in Kolkata city.
Overall, it is evident that the highest levels of rainfall are recorded in the autumn. Besides, at the beginning and the end of the year, there are the lowest precipitation, along with a significant fall in temperature. Meanwhile, hot weather is common during summer months.
Regarding the first half of the year, in January, the figure for rainfall is around 20 mm while that of temperature is 20 celcius degrees. In the following months, steady rises was seen in both temperature and rainfall with a peak of over 30 celcius degrees in temperature in May. In June, however, the temperature returns back to its figure in April, at 30 celcius degrees while a noticeable increase in rainfall is seen.
In the remaining months, the extremely high levels of precipitation in the antumn cause a slight drop in the hotness of Kolkata's weather. Although there is little variation to the city's heat, a sharp decline of nearly 150 mm in rainfall is witnessed in October. In November and December, the city dwellers witness a light change in temperature and low rainfall.
