The given diagram depicts number of parcel in thousands, processed by FedEx and TNT over eighty years period from 1920 to 2000. It is obvious from diagram that FedEx as a leader at the beginning of the period experienced downward trend, when TNT showed sharp increase of delivered parcel at the end of the period.
FedEx, in 1920, delivered to customers around 15000 parcels and over next twenty years this number increased nearly about 10 thousand. However in 1940, FedEx experienced rapid dip to nearly 12 thousand. In 1960, followed by steady raise to roughly 17500 delivered parcels.
From the other hand, TNT in 1920 handled slightly above 5000 parcel. But in next four decades transported amount of parcels increased about 1,2 times to approximately 12 thousand. Getting back to the data, after 20 years in 1980, parcels transported by TNT sharply peaked to about 23000 and ended in just under 25000 in 2000.
To sum up, despite the fact that FedEx have been major mail carrier in 1920, TNT delivered significantly more mail at the end of the period.
