The diagram below show how leather goods are produced.
The diagram depicts the process of converting animal skin into the several leather goods.
The first stage is to hang the animal hide on the wire for drying. After this, it is transferred through lorry to the factory for further production. On arrival, the hide is submerged in the water and lime for some time and then again it is soaked in the vat of lime. Having been cleaned in this way, it is further dispatched to the rolling machine which lends a helping hand to make it softer and flattened.
Later, it again soaked in the Tannin which is a heterogeneous mixture of a water and vegetable matter. In the next stage, the animal hide is polished by the rollers on its all surface. It is transported by the lorry to the other factory, in the following step, where production of leather material takes place, for instance, handbags, footwear, sports equipment and other material.
Overall, all steps are mandatory in the process of producing leather products.
