The flow chart illustrates the formation of sand dunes from sand particles under the impact of wind.
Overall, there are three main stages in the process, beginning with the movement of wind on the surface of ground and ending with formed sand dunes.
At the first step, the wind force pushes sand particles to roll over the ground and assemble on the areas which are high at humidity. At the next step, the wind ceaselessly blows, but the amount of sand particles which is accumulated on the wet ground is more and more and then they create some small separate sand piles.
Finally, by the continuity of wind force, there are more sand piles are made and they gradually gather together to form sand dune. The formation of sand dune consequently changes the direction of wind, which has to move up on one side of dune and down on another. The wind continually plays its roles to form next sand dunes at the behind of the newly dune on other areas of wet ground.
