The diagram below shows how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects up-to-the-minute information on the weather in order to produce reliable forecasts.
The picture represents the process by which the Australian Bureau of Meteorology gathers necessary updates on weather situations to provide reliable announcements. Overall, there are four main sequences on how weather news is delivered.
Firstly, weather information are picked up by various weather instruments. One example is the weather satellite that can take a snap chat of weather conditions seen from outer space. Another example, the radar also intercepts these data and then feeds the information to either a radar screen or synoptic chart. Similarly, drifting buoys collect data from the ocean and feeds it to synoptic charts.
Secondly, the process of analyzing and predicting weather patterns are done with the aid of forecasting mediums, such as the satellite photo, radar screen images and viable trends on the synoptic charts. Thirdly, with all these data analysed in a computer, the Bureau of Meteorology then ready its forecast about the weather. Finally, media outlets broadcast the news via TV, radio, and radio announcements.
