The process illustrates the way in which electricity is produced in a hydroelectric power station. Overall, there are seven main stages in the process, beginning with the flowing of the river and culminating in the flowing of water during puming at night.

At the beginning of the process, the river flows into a high-level reservior which is covered by a dam. Until the reservior is full, water then flows into an intake, which is opened through day. Afterwards, water flows into an engine to generate electricity during the day. Having flown into the reversible turbines, water then put through the turbines to go to the power station to transform from power lines into national grid.

In the next phase, water is pumped into high-level reservior at night by the resersible turbines. Water then flow through the intake, which is closed at night, again during pumping to return to the reservior.
