The diagram below shows how geothermal energy is used to produce electricity.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given draft represents the various step of generating power via geothermal energy plant.
To begin with, the first step of generating geothermal plant was to collect cold water from different resources in reservoir. This reserved cold water pumped down to injection well through pipeline, which is 4.5 km depth include in second process. Similarly, in third process, the collected cold water in well passes to the production well through geothermal zone. This geothermal zone also called hot rocks and the main feature of this hot rocks was to rise the temperature of cold water as needed and send to production well. After this, the well pumped-up hot water via pipeline and collect into condenses.
Furthermore, the condenses produce steam and transfer to turbine, which is only operate by steam power. In same stage, the turbine helps to operate generator and this operation was the final stage of producing electricity. Afterward, the produced electricity is transfer to mainline via power line and the process repeat again.
Overall, the figure depicts the five steps of producing power in geothermal power plant, which includes collecting cold water as first step and generator producing electricity with the help of turbine in final step.
