Overall, there are five main steps in this process, beginning with cold water and ending with making electricity in the power plant.
In the first stage of the process, the cold water pumped down 4,5 km underground into an injection well. In the next step, the water goes through an area called the geothermal zone, which contains a lot of hot rocks used to increase the temperature of the water.
