The diagram below shows how solar panels can be used to provide electricity for domestic use.
The diagram illustrates the process of producing electricities for a household by solar panels on the roof of a house.
Overall, the production consists of 5 main steps, beginning with sunlight absorbing and the last two steps show how electricity in the house is connected to the external power supply.
First of all, sunlight is absorbed by the solar panels on the house’s roof. Then it is transferred into a DC current. In the following step, the DC current is transmitted to an inverter which changes it into AC current. Meanwhile, the converter also controls the electricity supply in the house. Next, electricity is distributed throughout the family by an electrical panel attached to the wall.
The fourth step illustrates the extra electricity that the house does not use will be flown to the external grid outside through a meter. Otherwise, power from the grid will be provided following the unity grid if the household is lack of electricity provided by solar panels.
