Overall, the production consists of 5 main steps, beginning with energy capturing from sunlight and the last two steps show how electricity in the house is connected to the external power supply.
First of all, sunlight is absorbed by the solar panels on the house’s roof. Then it is transferred into a DC current which is then transmitted to an inverter, which changes it into AC current, in the following step. Meanwhile, the converter also regulates the electricity supply in the house. Next, electricity is distributed for the family uses by an electrical panel attached to the wall.
The fourth step illustrates the extra electricity that the house does not use will be flown back to the external grid outside the house through a meter. Otherwise, the utility grid is responsible for transmitting the power into the house if the solar panels produce not enough electricity for domestic uses.
