The diagram illustrates the process of aluminum drinks cans recycled
Overall, there are six main stages in the process of recycling aluminum cans, beginning with the collection of waste aluminum cans and ending with the delivery of new aluminum cans
The first step is buying drinks cans from drinks machine. After being drunk and thrown away in recycle bins, those cans are collected at collection centre and sorted by aluminum and steel materials. Then, sorted cans are loaded onto a truck and transported to recycling centre where it undergoes further processing. At this point, old cans are crushed into cube.
At the fourth step of the process, cubes of old aluminum are melted down, before being turned into new bars. Following this, aluminum bars are made into thin sheets and rolled up. Next, new rolls are shaped onto new cars and filled with the liquid. Finally, the finished products are delivered to drink machine where it is displayed on shelves ready for being sold
