The diagram shows how rainwater is collected for the use of drinking water in an Australian town
The flow diagram depicts the rainwater collection process to produce drinking water in an Australian town. Overall, four primary steps are identified in the whole process, starting from rainwater collection and culminating in a water treatment stage.
Initially, as rain falls on the rooftop of houses, the rainwater is collected by the gutters towards pipes located on the side of each home. Next, the water goes through an underground line to a water filter containment for a water purification process, aiming at separating any tiny, detrimental particles from the water. Following this step, the purified water is channeled through a large connector, and this procedure allows the water to flow directly to a water storage container.
Moreover, the last stage is the water treatment process for the stored water. The water subsequently flows to a water treatment tank. In this place, additional chemical substances are added to enhance water’s quality for the water to be congruent with the drinking water standard. Afterward, the drinking water process is completed, and the drinkable water travels along pipes connecting the water treatment to houses’ tap facility. This process leads back the water to houses and eventually, the water is ready to be distributed and consumed by people.
