The diagram shows the life cycle of silkworm and stages in production of the silk cloth.
The illustrated figures present the life cycle of the silkworm during 16 days starting with the mother who give birth to the insects as eggs and ending with the mature moth, respectively the process of silk cloth production. Overall, both pictorials are structured in five descriptive steps.
As the first given image shows, after e period of ten days the eggs become larvae and spend their time on mulberry leaf which is theirs source of food for around 4 or 6 weeks. In the third stage, they create silk threads shells and stay in this shape for 3 or 8 days. after this period they become cocoons, preparing for 16 days for the last stage of the cycle in which they finish as mature moths.
The second illustration sketch out the technical process of how silk clothes are making. The first phase is putting the larva in its cocoon form in boiled water. after this, it is unwind in order to have 300-900 metres long threads. Those are dyed and prepared to be weaved. after this, they are again dyed and this is how the process ends.
In conclusion, as it can be observed, the silk cloth production depends on the fourth stage of silkworm larva. they have to be carefully selected and used.
