The diagram shows a method of shaping glass containers.
The given diagram provides information about the process of how glass containers are manufactured in a factory.
In order to produce glass containers, the raw material (little pieces of glass) gets heated before being processed through other 6 steps, ultimately produced glass containers.
First, small pieces of glass are collected and heated in a furnace at 105°C. After that, the hot glass is pressed into the first mould being shaped into a thick-wall container. The container is then transferred to another mould and further shaped through exposure to the outside air. After the shaping process, the products are put into a kiln to be hardened at 482 degrees Celsius and cooled in another machine for an hour at 25 degrees Celsius. In the final stage, the glass containers are being tested for durability by quality control inspector individually. Rejects are placed in a waste disposal bin waiting for re-manufacturing. The glass containers which passed the inspection are packed in a sealed box, ready for transporting to household and retailer.
