The diagram illustrates how cocoa beans are manufactured.
It is clear that there are 3 main stages during the procedure. The process begins with choosing the cocoa beans, and ends at the final products to sell to customers.
At the first stage, after being picked up from the cocoa trees, whole beans are shelled and get ready for pressing and drying process. Next, those cocoa beans are pressed to make cocoa liquor which then experiences one of two approaches, further pressing or further refining.
In the further pressing approach, the cocoa liquor is continued to be pressed to
make cocoa cake and cocoa. Then, the cocoa cake is also going through a grinder to make the cocoa powder. Subsequently, the cocoa powder are displayed in the supermarkets for making cakes or added in drinks such as coffee capuchino or hot chocolate.
In the further refining approach, the cocoa liquor is refined to reach the industrial chocolate, and the sugars and pressed cocoas added in this step. After that the finished products are manufactured. Finally, they are consumed in the shops and supermarkets.
