WRITING TASK 1.
The given maps demonstrate the changes in the coastal village Seaville between the years of 1980 and 2010.
In general, as it is clear from both maps, old buildings of Seaville have been replaced by more modernized facilities and there were added some new installations, such as golf course, permanent houses, retirement village and others, in presented 30-year period of time.
First of all, the hotel at the south-west stayed unchanged, in noticeable contrast with other village objects. Also, a couple of another roads were paved in 2010,when the old ones were refreshed.A bridge was built over the river at the north-east.
Woodland at the top of 1980s map, holiday cottages and marsh at the south-west were demolished and in 2010 there were erected permanent houses.At the place of woodland, in 2010 there was standing golf course.
Similarly, at the spot, where in the 80s there was just wasteland, in 2010 were uplifted and settled retirement village, boat club and hotel.Instead of tearoom, in that destination was built the restaurant, at the seashore.Site of sand dunes became a part of hotel, mentioned above.The east bank was relocated to the more east side and at that place then were constructed holiday cottages.
