The diagrams show the greenhouse effect on the temperature of the Earth. Describe the process
The diagrams show how the greenhouse effect and radiation from the sun reaches the Earth.
In general terms, the greenhouse effect happens when heat radiation from the sun is trapped the Earth's atmosphere.
First of all, heat radiation is produced by the sun. This radiation travels towards the Earth's atmosphere. About 20% of the sun's radiation is scattered and reflected by clouds. 6% of the radiation is scattered by the Earth's atmosphere and 19% of the radiation is absorbed by the Earth. So, the Earth is warmed by the sun's radiation.
Secondly, at niight some place of the Earth's heat is lost. After, the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere trap and reflect the heat back to the Earth. This heat makes our planet suitablee for life. However, the population may increa the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. More greenhouse trap and reflect more heat. This mean the Earth becomes warmer.
