The first chart below shows the results of a survey which sampled a cross-section of
100,000 people asking if they traveled abroad and why they traveled for the period
1994-98. The second chart shows their destinations over the same period.

There are two different tables displayed the result of a survey which indicated the reasons and destinations of the UK residents over a period of 5 years starting from 1994.
According to the first chart, first of all, it could be seen that there are four reasons to visit abroad. Based on the chart, going to the holiday is main purpose of the people who were increased during those years. Business and visiting friends and relative were the other main reason which had a gradual increase from 1994 to 1998.
Apart from that, numbers of people who went abroad for goals except mentioned reasons almost were remained constant.
It is immediately apparent from the second table that in 1995, there were a decrease in the number of UK resident who traveling abroad in the all implied destinations. On the other hand, from 1996 to 1998, there was a increase in the number of people. As it can be observed in the chart, people who chose Western Europe as their destination were more than sum of the people who chose the other area.
