The table chart illustrates the findings of a research conducted among 100,000 people living in the UK with respect to if and why they took a trip from 1994 until 1998, and the bar graph provides information on the respective places they visited.
Overall, it becomes evident that the percentage of travelers from the UK has increased dramatically within the time period mentioned above. Furthermore, it is clear that Western Europe has been the number one destination since on average 22,000 people visited it each year.
Looking at the table chart in more detail, we can see that vacation was the main reason for visiting throughout these five years. Traveling for business purposes to see friends and relatives come second and third accordingly. All three categories have, also, increased by 5,000 to 8,000 people from 1994 to 1998.
In regard to the bar graph, the information given proves that the significant majority of the UK residents preferred to travel to Western Europe, and also, that their percentage has risen from almost 19,000 in 1994 to approximately 25,000 in 1998. The ratio of people visiting North America and Other Areas has remained stable at 1,000 and 3,000 during these five years.
