The bar chart illustrates the outcomes of a research done in 2005 about favorable architectural types of housing among British people in Liverpool, London and Manchester.

Overall, apartments were the most preferred by Liverpool citizens while terraced houses ranked in the final place of the list. Regarding London and Manchester, there was a similarity in the preference with semi- detached houses being chosen as the most favorite housing in these cities.

To begin with, it is clear that Liverpool people had a strong preference for apartments with the figure being nearly 60%, which was twice and three times as much as that of London and Manchester respectively. In contrast, terraced houses ranked at the final place with the least favored of all three cities.

When it comes to semi-detached houses, the proportion of population in London and Manchester shared the same interests with roughly 40%, nearly double that of Liverpool. However, with detached houses, the figure for people living in Manchester was 35%. higher than about 25% and 15% in London and Liverpool respectively.
