Government should spend money on railways rather than roads.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with the the statement?
Spending money on railway by government is widely discussed but still yields no conclusion. Some critics might see that this transportation is located far from their residents and has dense of crowd in rush hour, while some supporters may see that this railway is convenience transportation for modern life and fast vehicle. In my opinion, I totally agree with the latter because the benefits do outweigh their drawbacks.
However, some advocators would claim that this rapid transportation is not suitable for people in surburb or any area because government need to provide money to construct many stations that cause the pollution and noise for people in that area. Still, I found that this argument is invalid since after the construction people obtain the quality vehicle and systematic transportation in city. It leads to reduce the problem such as accidents from vehicle in road (car and motorcycle). Therefore, is it the suitable time that the government spend money for construct the railway?
On top of that, normal vehicle always emiss pollution (smog and dust) or greenhouse gas (Carbon dioxide) to the atmosphere, this pollution cause diseases for people or acid rain that destroy building made from lime. So using of railways can solve this problem. Besides, using railways people can save their time because they would know correct timetable when the train arriving or leaving in each station. MRT, for example.
In conclusion, although railways present some minor cons, it poses the significant pros to people in various ways. So I’d like to suggest that the government spend money on this convenience transportation and keep developing to remain in the future.
