The line graph illustrates the number of extinct species per decade from 2000 to the present, with projections till the 2100. At the begging of 2000 decade the number of extinct plants and animals was approximately 4800 million. This figure sharply increased, and in the present it is 9000 million. However, this number is predicted to jump over next 4 decades to 50000 million extinct species, and be followed by significant decline to 27000 million at the end of 2100.
The pie chart demonstrates major threats to plant life, which are natural events and human impact. It is clear that human impact’s percentage is 3 times as natural events’. When it comes to human involvement the most harmful sphere to plants’ life is harvesting (14.4%), while dangers as logging and development are around 10%. Other threats are just under 8%.
In summary, human impact on plant life should be strictly constrained, due to the prediction that in 2060 50000 species will become extinct
