The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water consumption in two different countries.
The graph illustrates how the amount of water used worldwide changed from 1900 to 2000 in Brazil and Congo.
Overall, the agriculture was the largest contribution to water waste over the period, while Industrial use and Domestic
use indicate steadily increase. The Brazil showed significant consuming compared to Congo.
In the first survey, the Industrial use and Domestic were starting at the same point, reaching almost 1km. However, the largest
quantity of water was used for agricultural, approximately half of the 1000㎦. In 1950, 1000㎦ was spent by crop production and there was a slight gap beween factor-made and family use.
Water consumption from Industrial use and Domestic use sectors were
1000㎦ and 250㎦ respectively in 2000. Finally, it may see clearly that the agriculture reached their peak 3000㎦.
The table presents the difference in water waste in two different countries by contrasting the amount of irrigated land, experienced
26,500km2 and 100km2 in Brazil and Congo respectively. This reflected in the figures for water consumption per person: 359m²
compared with the only 8m² in the Congo. with a population of 176 million, the figures for Brazil were 3.5 times larger than that of
Congo.
