Over the period, petrol and oil are the dominant fuel sources with 35 units was used in 1980. This figure fluctuated from 1980 to 1995 then maintained a steady increase and expected to continue rising until reaching over 45 units in 2030. A similar trend was witnessed in the usage of coal and natural gas with the starting point of over 5q and 20q respectively. However, gas showed an initial fall and coal has a gradual increase.
