Essay topics:

The graph below gives information about changes in the birth and death rates in New Zealand between 1901 and 2101.

The given line graph not only illustrates the evolution in the birth and death rate in New Zealand since 1901 up to now, but also gives projection till the year 2101.
Initially in 1901, the death rate in New Zealand was just over 20 per thousand, which was doubled the figure for death rate, with below 10 per thousand. Over the next century, after many oscillations in the number of both birth and death, the birth rate, by 2001, had gone through a period of consistently increase to approximately 60 per thousand, exceeding the number in deaths, which had only around 30 per thousand. Since then, while the birth rate has kept on slightly decreasing, a noticeable go up has been witnessed in death rate.
According to the prediction, in comparison with the number of births, which is estimated to go down steadily to over 40 per thousand, the death rate will have been accounted for almost 60 per thousand by the year 2101.
All things considered, the number of deaths will probably overtake the figure for birth rate in the near future and the tremendous gap between two levels is forecasted to be reserved for a long time.
