The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social center in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020. Summerize the information by selecting and reporting the main feature, and make comparison where relevant
The line graph shows how many people there are for five activities in one place in Melbourne, Australia, in the period of 21 years starting from 2000.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that the number of people in three types of activities changed considerably. However; participants in film club and martial arts remain unchanged in the surveyed years.
Looking at the details, in 2000, there were nearly 26 people who joined amateur dramatics, and it had decreased to 20 persons in 2010 before increasing rapidly from 20 to about 50 in 2020. By contrast, the Film club and amateur dramatics still remained stable with 70 and roughly 37 people respectively and the Film club still reached the highest position in the graph.
Another significant feature is that the number of participants in table tennis has changed rapidly. Initially, they went up slightly in the first five years surveyed, then plummeted from roughly 28 in 2006 to under 10 in 2020. The number of people in Musical performances was not available in 2000, and appeared in 2005 and then up to just under 20 members afterward. This trend makes amateur dramatics from the third position to the lowest position.
