The line graph illustrates the breakdown concerned to medium emissions of carbon dioxide per person in 4 different countries from 1967 to 2007. Overall, it can be seen that despite some fluctuatinons over the period, the UK and Italy had higher figure than the other 2 countries.

Italy stood at just over 4 metric tonnes in 1967, while Portugal began at more or less 1 which was the least amount. However, Italy witnessed a considerable rise, reaching slightly above 6 in the next 10 years, whereas there was a small increase in CO2 emissions in Portugal. Then they both followed a similar trend, increasing steadily to less than 8 (Italy) and well under 6 (Portugal).

The UK and Sweden owned more CO2 emissions per person than Portugal and Italy in the start. The UK began at well above 10 in 1967, while Sweden stood at considerable more than 8. However, Great Britain remained untouched nearly in a 10 - year - period, whereas there was a sharp growth in Sweden, increasing to marginally above 10. Then Sweden experienced a dramatic fall in 1987, reaching about 7, but The UK declined gradually to 10. Over the following 20 years, The UK decreased to aboit 9, while Sweden saw a significant drop, reaching under 6.
