The line graph illustrates the carbon dioxide output was produced by per inhabitant in the 4 Euro countries from 1967 to 2007.
At glance at the chart reveals the number of carbon dioxide emitted by the British and Swedish decreased while that of Italian and Portuguese declined over the 40-year period.
In 1967, the carbon dioxide produced per person in the UK achieved the highest number over the following 40 years in all countries at around 11 tonnes. Whereas, the lowers number was took by Portuguese at just over one ton per inhabitant. That number of Swedish was approximately 9 tonnes which doubled that of Italian.
As it can be seen that there was a uptrend for carbon dioxide emissions made by people in those countries except the UK which was nearly unchanged in over the next 10-year period from 1967 to 1977. At that time, Sweden achieved the maximum number in carbon emissions emitted by people in their country at just over 10 tonnes per person. In the next 30 years witnessed two different trends in the number of carbon dioxide produced by people, when that number for the UK and Sweden dropped, that of Italy and Portugal gradual increase for the next following 20 years and remained in the next 10-year period. Interestingly, the number of the carbon dioxide emissions emitted by Swedish and Portuguese was equal at approximately 5 tonnes per person in 2007.
