The similar trend was seen in the intake of lamb which was consumed 150 grams by a person per week in 1979 and reduced to approximately half of that in the year 2004.
Although fish and lamp preference decreased throughout the period, but the chicken consumption grew over the 25 years of period and people ate 150 grams of chicken on a weekly basis in 1979 which climbed up to 250 grams in 2004. However, fish consumption was the lowest throughout the period and drop from average consumption of 60 grams in 1979 to 40 grams in 2004.
