It is clear that England's electricity demand is highest during winter. Additionally, the majority of electricity consumed in household is for heating puposes.
As regard to electricity demand, at midnight, while summer's electricity demand is at around 18,000 units, the demanding for electricity during winter is significantly higher, at 35,000 units. It is interesting to note that the electricity demands are high between 14 o'clock to 22 o'clock and low during 3 o'clock to morning. The highest point of England's electricity demand is around 22 o'clock during winter, at 43,000 units.
52,5% of electricity used in an English house is for heatings, including rooms heating and water heating, while ovens, kettles and washing machines only account for 17,5% of electricity usage. Meanwhile, the proportions of electricity consumed for lighting, TV, radio and vacuum cleaners, food mixers, electric tools are equal, at 15% each.
