It is noticeable that England had the highest rate of female unemployment in 2013, but Scotland overtook this figure in 2014. Over the two years, all countries except for Scotland saw the declining trend in the unemployment rate.
In 2013, the biggest female unemployment rate was found in England, accounting for 6.8%, which was 0.7% higher than the rate in Scotland. However, the percentage of the jobless of female in England dropped by 0.2% in 2014. During the same year, by contrast, the rate of Scottish girls who did not find a job increased to a peak at 6.7%, surpassing the figure for England (6.5%).
The other two nations, Wales and Northern Ireland, had their female unemployment rates at 5.4% and 5.6%, respectively, during 2013. By 2014, both countries saw the declining unemployment rate. The rate in Wales decreased to 5.0%, which was less than the percentage that fell in Northern Ireland in 2014, allowing Northern Ireland to become the least female unemployment country as the proportion in this nation collapsed by 1%.
