Overall, the male readers showed a steady rise initially, but there was a slight decrease at the end, while the number of females’ experienced a upward trend over the given period.
In 2005 the number of books read by men was the lowest with 3.000, meantime, women accounted for 2.000 more than men did (5.000). Following that, male readers’ share minimally expanded from 2011 to 2012 and also female substituted the similar trend in the same year (from 3.000 to 4.000 and from 5.000 to 8.000 respectively).
