The given line chart illustrates the number of questions given to the Tourist Information Office in person, by letter/email and by telephone in one city from January to June in 2011.
Overall, while the number of enquiries in person and by telephone experienced a dramatic growth, the influx of questions sent by letter or by email witnessed a reverse trend. Additionally, of all the three, in person enquiries was the most popular choice of tourists at the end of the given period.
In January, the quantity of direct questions was at 400 units, the lowest compared to others. However, during the timescale, there was an approximately fivefold increase to 1900 enquiries which made the questions sent in person rose the highest record in June.
In the first four months of period, while email enquiries underwent a slight fluctuation in the range of 800 to 1000, the figures surged significantly to 1600 for the rest of time. Consequently, the overall pattern of email questions was upbeat.
Specifically, after having remained relatively stable at about 700 for the first 3 months, questions via telephone halved to merely 400 questions in May and June alike which came to the lowest point at the end of timescale.
