The graph below shows the number of new homes built in a particular region in the UK from 2010 and the figure predicted for 2020
The chart depicts how many homes had been constructed in a certain region in the UK from 2010, and give future trends for 2020.
Overall, the number of apartments built experienced the most significant changes. While the figure for flat is foreseen to increase in 2020, the three other types of house may witness negative patterns in the future.
In the nine-year period from 2010, detached houses had been by far the most preferred, experiencing a fluctuating growth pattern and ended at just under 3,000 by 2018. In contrast, the figure for flat was the smallest in the first year, at approximately 1,200, but it accelerated significantly over the next years to equal with the number of detached house built by 2018. Additionally, the number of constructed semi-detached houses and terraced houses followed similar patterns, which decline mildly by 500 houses and 250 houses respectively.
By 2020, the figure for flat is predicted to exceed three other types of home, which might rise to just under 3,000. The number of detached houses and semi-detached houses are forecasted to decrease slightly by 500 houses and 250 house respectively. Finally, the feature for terraced houses may experience a negligible change in the future.
