The given graph provides the data on how many people made the railway journeys in Great Britain on three systems from 1950 to 2004/5.
In general, the number of passenger from three systems all rocketed and the National rail network almost accouted for the largest place.
As we can see, the data of National rail network and data of London underground were at the similarity. For example, number for the National railway’s passenger decline from about one billion in 1950 to above 750 rail-user in early 1980. Likewise, the London underground remained flat and decreased over the same period, from appromixately 700 million to about 500 million. After that, both two systems’s traveler began to climb again and reached a peak with billion passenger, with in 1980 and 2000 seeing the sharpest increasing.
By comparison, the light rail and metro system was lastest introduction in 1960 and it carried fewer passenger than two others. There were no more than 15 million customers over the first 15 years. However, from 1980 the number of jouneys jumped up, reaching nearly 200 million in 2004/5.
