The graph compared the number of closures and opening stores in one nation from 2011 to 2018.

General speaking, both lines have dramatically fluctuated with a downward trend between 2011 and 2016, then they had a slightly change until 2018. While the total of opening stores observed more changes than the closing ones.

Looking at the opening stores line, it is easily apperant that 2011 has significantly gained the highest level with 8,500 stores, then it witnessed a substantial decline to 4,000 shops in one year. Two years later, the chart illustrated a positive change with more 2, 000 shops was opened in 2014, before experienced a considerable peak to 4, 000 stores in 2015, which is equal compared with 2012, while remained its rank until 2017. But after a slight dip in 2018, there was only 3,000 shops that opened in this nation.

Whilst, the closing shops total started at a lower rank than opening ones with approximately 6, 500 stores in 2011. Then, this number remained a moderate unchanged during three years until 2014, before dropped unexpectedly by 6, 000 shops in 2015. After that, the amount of closing shops sharply increased to 5, 000 stores in 2016, while it maintained around that from 2016 to 2018.
